    Tea Tourism

    Tea Cafe Ghorakhal To promote tourism in the state, under the direction/cooperation of District Administration Nainital, Tea Garden Tourism Development Autonomous Cooperative Society was formed in Tea Garden Ghorakhal and by collecting a fee of Rs. 40 per tourist from the tourists visiting the tea garden, they are being provided information about tea production along with taking them on a tour of the garden and tea factory.

    Also, through the said institution, a tea cafe has been built in the garden premises and the said cafe is being operated by a private person on a fixed annual rent.

    The tourists visiting the garden are getting refreshments during the tour as well as tasting the tea produced by the Board. Apart from this, work of tea tourism has been started in Bageshwar district.

    Tea Cafeteria Champawat Under Kausani Tea Garden, with the cooperation of District Administration Bageshwar and Tourism Department, work has been started for trekking routes, path lighting system, resting places, refreshment rooms, Sulabh toilets and parking etc. for the tourists visiting the garden.

    Tourists visiting tea gardens are provided with plantation/factory tour along with proper facilities by collecting a fee of Rs. 25.00 per tourist. In the tea gardens established in Champawat district, the Board has constructed tea huts, tea cafes, view points, selfie points, foot paths etc. in the gardens with the cooperation of the district administration and tourism department to promote tea tourism in other districts as well.

    Tourists visiting tea gardens are provided with plantation/factory tour along with proper facilities by collecting a fee of Rs. 25.00 per tourist. Similarly, it is proposed to promote tea tourism in the tea gardens established in other districts by the Board with the cooperation of the district administration and tourism department.
