Soil Testing Lab

The board has currently established a state-of-the-art soil testing laboratory in Bhowali (Nainital). To date, soil testing has been conducted on 9000 hectares of land through this laboratory, and 2500 hectares have been selected for further action. Sixty percent of this land belongs to private farmers, and the remaining portion belongs to forest panchayats/village councils. In addition to testing the soil of the land selected by the board, the laboratory also tests soil samples provided by other departments and institutions, as well as by local farmers.
